Submission of abstracts

Prospective authors are invited to submit an electronic copy of their abstracts (1 or 2  pages long) to BIOMAT 2007 Scientific Program Committee (biomat2007@gmail.com) by the due date (August 04, 2007).

The official language is English for abstracts, full papers and oral presentations.

The file format should be RTF, DOC (Windows Word 2000 or higher) or LaTeX.

Check for a Word or a LaTeX template. An additional PDF copy is desirable.

The first page of the abstract should clearly include for each author:

  • title of the paper
  • name
  • affiliation and position
  • complete mailing address
  • email address
  • telephone/fax number

In additon, the first page of the abstract should also include the name of the author who will be presenting the full paper (if accepted) as well as a maximum of 5 keywords.

Evaluation process

  • Each Abstract  will be evaluated by two members of the BIOMAT Editorial Board for originality and significance in a "blind reviewing" process.

  • All accepted abstracts will be published in CD-Rom format which will be given to the registered participants.

  • The corresponding full papers of accepted abstracts should be submitted for the final evaluation process.  Each full paper will be also evaluated by two members of the BIOMAT Editorial Board for originality, significance, clarity, and soundness in a second "blind reviewing" process. The full papers will be referred by researchers in the topical area.

  • The acceptance of any abstract does not imply that the corresponding full paper will be accepted as well.

  • All accepted full papers are expected to be presented at the symposium, in a poster or oral session, according the suggestion of the Board of Referees.

Publication

Only accepted full papers will be considered for publication in the BIOMAT 2007 Proceedings. The BIOMAT Editorial Board / Board of Referees will select among those accepted full papers the ones for publication in the ISBN indexed book "BIOMAT 2007 - International Symposium on Mathematical and Computational Biology" -  by World Scientific Co. Pte. Ltd.  Other accepted full papers will be published in another ISBN indexed book by decision of the Board.
